TAPE - INNERWRAP - Corrosion Protection Tape
Three ply tape consisting of stabilized polyethylene backing with plastic butyl rubber adhesive layer on both sides. The consistency of butyl rubber on one side should be formulated in such a way that under tension, it flows on uneven steel surfaces. The inner wrap tape must be fully compatible with the property of primer and the property of outer wrap. The tape must be self amalgamating between the layers and at overlaps. Highly conformable to any surface structure by thick butyl rubber layer facing pipe surface.
Asymmetrically structured three-ply plastics tape consisting of a stabilized polyethylene backing with plastic butyl rubber on both sides. The consistency of the butyl rubber on the one side facing the pipe surface should be formulated in such a way that, under tension, it flows on uneven steel surfaces.
To facilitate correct application this butyl layer should be of a black color. The grey butyl layer of the tape must face the steel and this should always be the thicker layer of butyl rubber.
In order to avoid delaminating tape must contain co-extruded intermediate layers.
XUNDA T400&T200——3-ply Coating System
System Description
The Xunda T400 and T200 is a multilayer coating system designed for the corrosion protection and mechanical protection of pipelines. The T400 consists of three layers, the butyl rubber adhesive laminated on both side of the polyethylene film backing. The T400 can be used as inner tape, T200 can be used as outer tape.
Xunda liquid adhesive can be used as primer for this system. The three ply coating system produce a strong cohesive bond to the primed steel surface, at the spiral overlap and to the mechanical outer tape.
The system can be applied by hand or with a wrapping machine.
